Job Description

Grant Mason Mortgage Group is seeking a highly organized and client-focused Loan Partner to join our growing team.

The Loan Partner serves as the primary point of contact for clients once they begin the mortgage process. This role is responsible for managing new loan applications, gathering documentation, reviewing files for completeness, communicating with borrowers and referral partners, and helping move files from application to conditional approval.

Experience

  • Mortgage industry experience preferred
  • Loan Officer Assistant, Processor, Loan Partner, or Mortgage Operations experience preferred
  • Experience reviewing income, assets, and mortgage documentation preferred
  • Encompass experience preferred
  • Customer service experience required
  • No college degree required

Responsibilities

New Applications

  • Contact new applicants promptly after application submission
  • Introduce yourself as the client's primary contact throughout the approval process
  • Review applications for completeness and accuracy
  • Collect and organize supporting documentation
  • Request any missing documentation needed for approval
  • Work closely with the Loan Officer to structure files properly before submission

Under Contract Files

  • Manage all under-contract files from application through conditional approval
  • Maintain regular communication with borrowers, agents, and referral partners
  • Ensure all documentation is collected prior to underwriting submission
  • Monitor contract deadlines and financing contingencies
  • Coordinate appraisals and third-party orders when necessary
  • Provide status updates throughout the transaction
  • Assist borrowers with questions regarding documentation and loan status

File Management

  • Review income, assets, and credit documentation
  • Prepare files for underwriting submission
  • Monitor loan milestones and internal deadlines
  • Maintain accurate notes and records within company systems
  • Work closely with processing and underwriting teams
  • Identify issues early and escalate concerns when necessary

Client Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the mortgage process
  • Act as a trusted resource for clients and referral partners
  • Ensure clients feel informed and supported from application to approval
  • Help create a smooth and stress-free mortgage experience
